Watch Party for Tampa Bay Rays' Opening Day at Ferg's
Patch, St. Pete
July 23, 2020

Baseball fans can still root, root, root for the home team with social distancing and other fans in a live home-game like environment.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL —Instead of being down in the dumps about not being able to attend the Tampa Bay Rays' Opening Day at Tropicana Field on Friday, fans can enjoy a watch party planned by Ferg's Sports Bar & Grill.

Ferg's said in a news release that it is working hard to ensure safety while giving fans the experience of a live home opener game as fans will not be allowed in the stadium at this time during the pandemic.

Fans can watch the game on a large-screen TV truck that will be in the east parking lot, and is also expected to provide enough physical space between fans. Or they can watch from inside the venue as all TVs will be tuned to the game.

If having stadium beer is one of your baseball traditions, Ferg's has hired some of the Trop's beer vendors to help fans feel like they are inside the stadium on Opening Day. There will also be food and drink specials like $10 game-day nachos, $6 1/4 lb. hot dog and $8 stadium salad along with other options on the Game Day Menu.

Ferg's would like guests to follow these Center for Disease Control guidelines and Ferg's policies:

As we navigate the un-chartered waters of COVID-19, we will only be able to provide service to those who are seated.

We will not be permitting any standing or sitting at the bars.

All other CDC guidelines will apply, if away from your seated table or going to the restroom, masks will be mandatory (once seated masks are not required), along with 6 feet social distancing at all times.

There is social distancing in place with all indoor and outdoor seating.

No groups larger than 10.

Please understand to be able to provide this watch party and all others like it, we need the cooperation of everyone, said Ferg's.

Doors open at 5 p.m., on July 24, and the Rays vs. Blue Jays game starts at 6:40 p.m.
